Smith & Wesson .32 Regulation Police Target

$4,250

A factory letter accompanies this fantastic Regulation Police Target detailing its shipment to S. McCarver in Lowell, North Carolina on September 30, 1927 as a single unit order. Rarely seen in a target configuration this outstanding I-Frame is equipped with a 6” barrel, original nickel finish, Call gold bead front sight blade and the numbers matching checkered walnut extension target stocks. The gun is all numbers matching and comes in a period unmarked S&W mailing box with the postage label intact, ‘Bullseye’ Dry Fire target, cleaning brush and tissue wrap. Per conversations with Roy Jinks this gun was likely recorded incorrectly as it is listed as a 3 1/4” fixed sight nickel gun in the record books so it will not ‘letter’, however it is all matching and there are no service department markings.

The gun retains 99%+ of the original nickel finish which is bright and clear. Aside from a few incredibly faint handling marks this Regulation Police Target appears NEW. The original numbers matching grips are every bit as crisp and mint as the gun itself. The bore and cylinder chambers are flawless and the mechanical working order is perfect. A serious and valuable addition to any I-frame collection!!
