Smith & Wesson Pre Model 40 .38 Centennial Hammerless

Built in 1953 this scarce and very early Pre Model 40 aka .38 Centennial Hammerless is equipped with a 2” barrel, original blue finish and the numbers matching smooth walnut high horn magna grips. The gun has equally crisp red box with the early ’Centennial’ tri-fold brochure and remains in fantastic condition. The gun retains 99%+ of the original satin blue finish which shows only the faintest of collector type handling evidence. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. An outstanding Hammerless Chief Special that will have a special place in any collection!
