Smith & Wesson 1st Model Single Shot RARE 8″ Nickel
One of the last 1st Model Single Shots that left the factory this outstanding example shipped in June of 1905 and is equipped with an 8″ barrel, original nickel finish, Lyman Ivory bead front sight blade and the matching numbered checkered black rubber two screw extension target stocks. These are very seldom encountered with original nickel finish and the rare 8″ barrel, coupled with the exceptionally high condition, this is a true prize for any collector!
The gun retains 99%+ of the original nickel finish which is bright and clear showing only the faintest of collector type handling evidence and aging. The hammer and triggerguard show vivid case colors and the trigger has strong straw color. The bore is mint and the mechanical working order is perfect. Overall this is the finest example of the model we have ever offered for sale, which will, without any doubt never need to be upgraded in any possible way!
