RARE Original Nickel Smith & Wesson Pre Model 18 K-22 Combat Masterpiece
The Smith & Wesson Historian has confirmed the rare original nickel finish of the Pre Model 18 K-22 Combat Masterpiece and a copy of the original sales invoice is included listing the guns original shipment on May 16, 1955 to the Williams Gun Sight Company in Davison, Michigan. Knowledgeable collectors are aware of the extreme rarity of the nickel K-22’s with production estimates of less than fifty, with far fewer having surfaced today. The gun is equipped with a 4″ barrel, original nickel finish, checkered walnut diamond magna grips and a double-pinned blued Baughman quick draw ramp front sight.
The gun retains 99% of the original nickel finish which is bright and clear showing a few very minor handling marks with a couple light scratches behind the triggerguard on the inside of the frame. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working is flawless. The checkered walnut diamond manga grips are every bit as crisp and sharp as the gun itself. Overall This is a very special opportunity for a serious collector to advance their collection!
