Built as part of the first production runs in 1909 this fantastic .38 Double Action Perfected Model is equipped with a 4” barrel, original nickel finish and the numbers matching checkered black rubber grips. The only S&W model to have the cylinder latch and top-break opening mechanisms, this very early and low serial ‘Perfected’ remains in outstanding tip-top condition. The gun retains 99% of the original nickel finish which is bright and clear showing only the faintest collector-type handling evidence and aging. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and a couple tiny age spots, the cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. Overall this is a special and high-condition early .38 DA Perfected that will take many years of searching to ever upgrade!
