ULTRA RARE Smith & Wesson Model 22-2 .45 ACP

$5,250

The factory S&W Historian has confirmed that this incredibly rare revolver shipped on December 16, 1964 to Gopher Shooting Supply in Faribault, Minnesota. There are only 178 known model marked 1950 Army’s in existence, with virtually all of them being Model 22 no-dash examples built on the four screw frame. Knowledgeable collectors are aware there are only a few Model 22-1 and 22-2 examples in existence. This is one of the last guns built on the three screw frame and it has all of the engineering changes of the Model 22-2. The gun is 100% original and is equipped with a standard 5 1/2″ barrel, original bright blue finish and the numbers matching checkered walnut diamond magna grips.

Overall this ultra rare N-frame remains in wonderful condition, the original bright blue finish has just a little minor scattered aging which is mostly on the grip straps. The numbers matching checkered walnut diamond magna grips have crisp checkering with a few minor handling marks on the butt. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. Any serious collector would spend a lifetime searching for another Model 22-2 so please do not miss the opportunity to add this incredible Model 22-2 to your collection!
