A factory letter accompanies this rare and sought after .22/32 Kit Gun detailing its original shipment on September 1, 1936 to Von Lingerie & Antoine in Chicago, Illinois. The gun is equipped with a 4” barrel, original bright blue finish and checkered walnut grips. Note the King reflector base front sight base and red bead, as well as the King white outline rear sight blade, an exceptional and rarely seen period upgrade! This special Kit Gun is pictured on page 134 of the Standard Catalog of S&W, 4th Edition.
The gun remains in outstanding condition from end to end and retains virtually 99% of the original blue finish with only the faintest of collector type handling evidence and aging present. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless.
