Smith & Wesson Pre Model 24 Two-Tone 99%
A factory letter accompanies this incredibly rare Pre Model 24 confirming the configuration as seen in the photos and detailing its original shipment on June 14, 1954 to Rex Firearms Co. of New Yotk, New York. Included with the factory letter is a copy of the original sales invoice courtesy of the Smith & Wesson Historical Foundation. The gun is equipped with a 6 1/2″ barrel, a red-post front sight, a fantastic set of smooth rosewood non-relieved target stocks, and it is housed in a proper period box with the NOX-Rust paper. A fantastic all-original ‘Pinto’!
The barrel and cylinder retain 99% of the original nickel finish with just a few tiny handling marks. The frame retains 99% of the original bright blue finish with a few small handling marks that are hardly noticeable. Overall an exceeding rare ‘two-tone’ that will never need to be upgraded!
