Smith & Wesson Pre Model 19

Here it is folks! The one you’ve been waiting for. A first year production Pre Model 19 .357 Combat Magnum complete in the original numbers matching black pebble grain case. Knowledgeable collectors are aware the first handful of Pre 19’s were shipped in early pebble grained black cases, much like the .44 Magnum of the period. Note the printing on the top of the case “COMBAT MAGNUM” !! A factory letter accompanies this investment grade S&W confirming the configuration and detailing its original shipment on April 23, 1956 to Art Cook Supply Co. in Laurel, Maryland. Roy even deviates from the standard text and goes on to confirm, “This revolver was shipped in one of the rare blue presentation cases for this model” !

The gun is everything you’d hope for on condition, a true 99%+. There is no wear worthy of any mention, the finish is outstanding and shows only the slightest collector type handling evidence. The checkered walnut diamond target stocks are every bit as mint as the gun itself. Bottom line this is an extremely rare and all original package, one of only a few cased Pre 19’s in existence; you either own it or you don’t.
