Smith & Wesson Nickel Pre Model 36 Baby Chief

A factory letter accompanies this extremely rare revolver confirming the configuration and detailing its original shipment on March 24, 1952 to Firearms International Inc. in Washington, DC. This was part of a 10 unit order, bringing the total number of known examples up to 13. This is the most difficult post war J-frame to acquire! The gun comes in a proper red box with the NOX-Rust Paper.

The gun retains virtually 99% of the original nickel finish which is bright and clear with only the faintest of collector-type handling evidence and aging present. In a lifetime of searching you will likely never find another such example in any condition, and you will never upgrade this one! A supremely fine original nickel Baby Chief.
