This ultra rare and all original Model of 1905, 4th Change shipped to the City of Muncie, ATTN Police Department in Muncie, Indiana and is equipped with a 2” barrel, original bright blue finish and the numbers matching checkered walnut silver medallion service grips. There were only 250 2” Pre-War M&P’s ever built and knowledgeable collectors are aware of the extreme rarity square-butt examples! The side plate is inscribed to “Ray Jordan Muncie Police” and the right grip is inscribed with Ray’s signature. Ray Jordan was a police officer in Muncie, Indiana until the mid 1940’s when he and his family moved to Sullivan, Indiana. Here Ray worked as a fireman until his untimely death in the line of duty in August 1947.

This exceptional Model of 1905 remains in exceedingly fine condition retaining 98%+ of the original bright blue finish which shows only the faintest wear and handling evidence. The original numbers matching grips are every bit as crisp and sharp as the gun itself. Note the original numbers matching maroon display box as well as the Caution flyer and tissue wrap. Really an extraordinary K-frame that will make a valuable addition to any collection!
