Smith & Wesson Model of 1903 .32 Hand Ejector FACTORY OSCAR YOUNG ENGRAVED

$3,250

A factory letter accompanies this incredible factory Oscar Young engraved Model of 1903 and details its original single-unit special order shipment on February 24, 1904 to the E.K. Tyron Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The gun is equipped with a 4 1/4” barrel, original factory gold finish, gold medallion mother of pearl service grips and Type 4 engraving by Oscar Young. Housed in a Hartley and Graham style dealer case this early Model of 1903 remains in incredibly well preserved condition retaining an impressive amount of the original gold plating with just a little flaking on the left side of the frame and minor handling wear. The unmistakable engraving of Oscar Young is, as to be expected, exceedingly well done with fine flowing scrollwork on every surface. The cylinder chambers are mint and the bore is excellent. The mechanical working order is flawless, as are the original pearl grips which fit the gun to perfection. This is the only such configured .32 Hand Ejector known and it is certain to have a very special place in any collection!
