Smith & Wesson Model 27-1 6″ .357 Magnum

Built in 1960 on the four screw N-frame this extremely rare Model 27-1 .357 Magnum is equipped with a 6″ barrel, original bright blue finish, target hammer, target trigger and checkered walnut diamond target stocks. The ‘Dash-One’ examples were only made in one year in 1960 and feature a left hand threaded ejector rod, note the ‘L’ stamped on the cylinder face. These are highly sought after by collectors and very seldom come to market! The gun comes in the correctly end labeled blue box with the vapor paper and warranty card, which is marked on the end for the target hammer, target trigger and oversized target stocks.

The gun remains in outstanding condition from end-to-end retaining 99% of the original bright blue finish which shows a light turn line, faint collector type handling evidence and one tiny age spot on the right side of the barrel. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. This is a top-shelf and rarely seen Model 27 variation for the advanced collector!
