Smith & Wesson Model 24 No Dash .44 Special ULTRA RARE 5″

$9,650

A factory letter accompanies this incredibly rare Model 24 No Dash confirming the configuration seen and detailing its original shipment on December 7, 1959 to the Miller Brothers Hardware Company in Richmond, Virginia. Built on the four-screw N-frame the gun is equipped with a 5″ barrel, original special order bright blue finish, red ramp front sight, white outline rear sight, target hammer, target trigger and checkered walnut non-relieved diamond target stocks. Per the factory letter there was an additional $10 charge to cut the barrel, $4.80 for the red ramp front sight and $1.50 for the white outline rear sight. The gun is complete in the original numbers matching blue box with the NOX-Rust paper, Helpful Hints brochure and the unused cleaning kit including the blued steel knurled sight adjustment screwdriver. This is the only known 5″ Model 24 No Dash in this configuration!

The gun remains in virtually as new condition, the original bright blue finish rates 99%+ on any scale and is flawless other than a very slight turn line. The original checkered walnut diamond target stocks are every bit as perfect as the gun itself. This is without any doubt the finest example of the model extant, period. No upgrade EVER!
