Smith & Wesson Model 1905 1st Change Mfd 1906 RARE Military Acceptance Proof Flaming Bomb

Built in 1906 on the five screw K-frame this rare and exciting Model 1905 1st Change is equipped with a 6.5″ barrel and checkered walnut round butt non-monogrammed diamond service grips. The gun is all original and bears a military acceptance flaming bomb proof which is stamped on the left side of the frame just below the cylinder latch. This is likely one of the small handful made for the Navy!
The gun retains a truly impressive amount of the original bright blue finish, especially considering the gun is over 110 years old! There is a little bit of scattered patination mostly on the barrel but the gun is other exceptional. The numbers matching checkered service grips have excellent checkering and are every bit as crisp as the gun itself. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is proper in every respect. A truly neat K-frame that is a must-own for any serious Martial collector!
