Without any question the finest example of the rarely seen 5″ 2nd Model .44 Hand Ejector in existence, complete in the original numbers matching maroon display box with the original August 28, 1928 dated sales receipt and the sales invoice from S&W in the original mailing envelope! Note the invoice is signed by Carl Helstrom and the receipt is signed by D.B. Wesson!!

This fabulous .44 Special went direct via C.O.D. to Frederick G. Von Rosenberg on August 28, 1928 at 1300 Lorraine St., Austin, Texas. Part of the esteemed and storied Texas Von Rosenberg family, for which the town of Rosenberg, Texas is named!

The gun is virtually as-new in the original box retaining 99%+ of the original blue finish with only the faintest of collector-type handling evidence present. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the gun functions perfectly. A true time-capsule piece that can positively never be upgraded in any possible way. The total and complete package!
