Factory Oscar Young Engraved Smith & Wesson 3rd Change .38 M&P

$3,500

The factory S&W Historian has confirmed this fabulous factory Oscar Young engraved 3rd Change, Model of 1905 .38 M&P shipped on September 1, 1915 to the FJ Feldman Company in El Paso, Texas. The gun is equipped with the original nickel finish, beautiful mother of pearl grips and No. 4 factory engraving coverage. Oscar Young’s tight intertwining scrollwork engraving is unmistakable and is executed to perfection here on this beautiful early M&P. The gun is guaranteed to letter as factory engraved!

The gun remains in impressive original condition, the nickel finish is bright and largely clear with a little loss at the muzzle ends and high cylinder edges with just a little aging on the sideplate, all of which the photos accentuate. In hand the gun presents very nicely! The bore is excellent and the cylinder chambers are mint. The mother of pearl grips have fiery colors and fit the frame perfectly with a tiny chip on the left panel which is easily repairable. This 3rd Change M&P is 104 years old and is overall an exceptional example of Oscar Young’s handiwork which remains in excellent condition.
